Free and Funded Training Course Questions

What are the funded training options available at Equip-Safe?

Equip-Safe offers the CTF Funded Orange Card Combo training for WA apprentices and the Fee-free Construction Industry Preparation Skill Set funded by the State Government.

Who are these free and funded courses for?

The CTF funded Orange Card Combo training is designed for current apprentices. The Fee-free funded course from the State Government is designed for those looking to gain skills in priority industry areas like healthcare, IT, building and construction, and hospitality, to help build WA’s skilled workforce.

How does the CTF funding work?

If you are an eligible apprentice, the Construction Training Fund (CTF) is subsidising 70% of the course fee. Plus, if you are employed by an ECA WA business member, ECA WA funds the remaining 30% of the course free. Making this course 100% free.

How does the State Government funding work?

The State Government funds this course through the Lower Fees, Local Skills initiative which offers qualifications with skills that employers are looking for across a range of industries including building and construction, essential care services, IT, hospitality, and more. This means that part (or all) of your training fees are covered by the WA State Government to make essential skills more affordable.
